Google's July 2026 Workspace feature drop added deck generation in Slides that pulls context from Docs, Sheets, PDFs and previous decks to match formatting and style; Gemini Omni Flash editing of any video footage in Vids by text prompt, with AI voiceovers in eight languages; comment-thread synthesis and one-click suggested edits in Docs; image and diagram generation in Docs; and eleven additional Gemini languages.

Why it matters

The deck is many teams' unit of decision-making, and it just became a one-line request. Generated slides inherit whatever the reference material got wrong, and a polished deck reads as finished to the person approving it. The review has to happen before the aesthetics do their work.
