What changed
Launch history: Google announced Gemini Spark on 19 May 2026 as a cloud-based personal agent, with trusted-tester access followed by a planned U.S. Ultra beta. Current guidance, checked 17 October 2026: Google documents Tasks for personal accounts aged 18 and over on Google AI Pro or Ultra, with Keep Activity enabled and Personal Intelligence opted in. Tasks are excluded in the EEA, Nigeria, Switzerland and the UK. They are available on Gemini web, mobile and Mac. A remote browser can continue after you close a device; local Chrome work needs the computer and Chrome awake. Mobile uses the remote browser, and sign-in steps may pause for you to take over.
