Watch-outs
- Major labels including Universal and Sony are in active litigation with Suno over the recordings its models were trained on (Warner settled and licensed in late 2025). The rights question is unresolved, so treat commercial releases with care and keep your plan's licence terms on file.
- Commercial rights come only with a paid plan, and only for songs you make while subscribed. Free-tier songs are not licensed for commercial use.
- Do not prompt for a named artist's voice or a specific song's style: imitating a real artist invites both a takedown and a rights problem.
- Suno is changing its monthly download caps from 3 September 2026, with paid plans limited to a set number of downloads per month, so check the current limit before you rely on it.
